HOW MUCH WILL MY DREAM KITCHEN COST?

This is the most frequently asked questions we hear. People want to know how much they should spend on a kitchen remodel or if the builder's allowance will give them what they want. Budgets for a remodel or new construction vary widely from project to project. With the proper help from a trained kitchen designer, all of your needs will be understood and your budget can be clearly set. Please take a look at our Planning a Budget Page for more information.

HOW LONG WILL MY KITCHEN REMODEL TAKE?

The most difficult room in your home to be without is the kitchen. We have found that people generally leave remodeling of this area for last. To address the challenges, we have authored a Survival Guide, which we send to each of our clients to help them through the discomfort of living without a stove and sink for the entirety of the project.

WHAT FEES DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR DESIGN SERVICES?

We do not charge for our design services when a project is being purchased. We do offer a free design consultation, which gives us a chance to get to know you and assess your needs.

WHY DO I NEED A KITCHEN DESIGNER IF I ALREADY HAVE AN ARCHITECT OR A BUILDER?

Architects have a specific job when working with a client.  They are there to create an entire generalized space to meet your needs. Builders have a specific job as well; to turn into physical reality whatever the architect envisioned. Both are important to your project. A Dream Kitchens Designer has the specific role of creating the most functional, aesthetically pleasing space for you and your family. The knowledgeable and experienced Designer takes your wish list, incorporates the way you and your family want to use the space, and creates a thoroughly well-thought-out kitchen. The kitchen is the most used room in the home, and when it is not designed for peak performance, the entire family will feel it. The kitchen is the most complex room in the home to design. It must have properly sized walk spaces, appropriate storage solutions and ample counter space. It must have the appropriate tolerances for your appliances to function, and it should meet all the rigorous standards set forth by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Dream Kitchens Designers are trained to meet all of these challenges and give you a phenomenal kitchen that functions as beautifully as it looks.

WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I PURCHASE FROM DREAM KITCHENS?

Dream Kitchens provides cabinetry, countertops, sinks, faucets, decorative hardware, bathroom plumbing products, kitchen and bath accessories, chairs, and barstools.
We also offer cabinetry for other rooms in your home, such as entertainment centers, wet bars, custom closet systems, fireplace mantles and surrounds, laundry rooms, home office cabinetry and any other custom cabinetry you may need.
We are also your source for solid surface materials. From Corian to granite, we design and supply everything from countertops to tile floors. We can also help you design your custom shower using granite tile, marble flooring and all those personal body jets.

WHO TAKES CARE OF THE ACTUAL REMODELING OF MY KITCHEN, AND WHO WILL INSTALL MY CABINETS AND COUNTERTOPS?

Dream Kitchens Designers work with many area contractors who can handle any size project from a simple kitchen remodel, to a large addition, to new construction. They are craftsmen who we have worked with for many. We know the quality of their work, and the superior service they offer. We are happy to recommend one of them to you during your visit to our showroom. We will also work with any contractor you choose. We are available to meet with your contractor to review the details of the project and give him all of the information he will need.

Installation of cabinetry is a very specialized craft. Dream Kitchens strongly recommends that when you are having a Dream Kitchen installed you work with one of our “Authorized Installers”. This fine group of craftsmen is familiar with the unusual designs we create. They are at ease with the nuances of the cabinet brands we work with and they offer the same unprecedented level of service and workmanship that we strive for. We feel so strongly that we give you a 3-year written warranty. This guarantees that, for three years, all repairs and adjustments on the cabinets and solid surface countertops will be made at no additional charge (excluding cases of abuse or misuse) when one of our Authorized Installers installed your kitchen.

Countertops that are solid surface material such as Corian, Staron, or granite must be templated (they make a physical mock-up of your countertop) and installed by the fabricator. Our Authorized Installers will install any other type of countertop which we provide for you.
